Sri Lanka, March 6 -- Energy Minister Kumara Jayakody has issued an Extraordinary Gazette Notification to officially launch the restructuring of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB).

The directive makes legal provision for the establishment of six successor companies, which will take over the primary functions and duties currently managed by the CEB.
