Sri Lanka, June 17 -- India's High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Santosh Jha on Monday underscored the importance of local currency settlement mechanisms in facilitating bilateral trade, investment and financial connectivity while highlighting the growing economic partnership between India and Sri Lanka.

He was speaking at the roundtable on 'Rupee to Rupee Strengthening the India - Sri Lanka Commercial Corridor' in Colombo on Monday.
