Sri Lanka, March 10 -- Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama yesterday (9) ordered the case filed against six individuals, including Wimal Weerawansa, to be recalled on the 18th for further examination of evidence.

The Magistrate issued the order after considering a request made by the Cinnamon Gardens Police. The police informed Court they intend to call two additional witnesses and requested a future date to facilitate their testimony.

The defendants face charges of causing a public nuisance by blocking roads in front of the United Nations office in Colombo during a protest in 2016.
