Sri Lanka, Feb. 16 -- Baddegama Police on Saturday (14) night discovered the motor car used by the gunmen in the double murder of a lawyer and his wife in Akuregoda, Thalangama. Officers found the vehicle burnt and abandoned on a side road in the Mulkada area of Agaliya, which leads towards Akuratiya.

A spokesperson for the Elpitiya Forensic Crime Scene Laboratory stated that the Nissan Sunny car did not have registration plates when discovered. He added that further investigations are underway to identify the registered owner and that the Government Analyst has been summoned to the scene for further inquiries.
