Sri Lanka, Aug. 4 -- The gravity of various Cancers among people and how to get rid of it with early detection was highlighted by the Sri Lanka Cancer Society (SLCS) at a seminar held in Kahatowita Muslim Balika Vidyalaya, Attanagalla.
The Seminar was held to educate the community on the dangerousness of various Cancers including Breast Cancers, Lung, Oral, Throat, Kidney Cancers, Mouth, Urinary Bladder, Liver, Stomach, Pancreas, Rectum and other Cancers.
The Seminar was conducted by SLCS, Public Education Officer Merril Perera and over 150 schoolchildren, their parents and teachers attended.
Merril Perera highlighted that over 5,000 Breast Cancer patients are reported in our country annually and at least 3 patients die every day.
