Srilanka, Oct. 11 -- Labour Minister and Finance and Planning Deputy Minister Prof. Anil Jayantha Fernando told Parliament yesterday that the Cabinet reshuffle was to re-align portfolios on a more suitable and scientific method, so that the Government can achieve its aims faster.

He said this in response to a question raised in by MP Shanakyan Rasamanikkam whether Minister Bimal Ratnayake was removed from the Ports Minstry due to the container incident.

The Minister further said that Minister Bimal Ratnayake has not been removed as such but he will get an even bigger responsibility in due course.This will be informed to Parliament shortly.
