Sri Lanka, June 16 -- The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a proposal to sign an amendment to the existing Air Services Agreement between Sri Lanka and Turkey, with the aim of aligning the tariff framework of the agreement with internationally accepted standards.

Sri Lanka and Turkey originally signed the Air Services Agreement in 2008 to strengthen aviation cooperation between the two countries. As part of efforts to further enhance the regulatory framework governing air services, discussions were subsequently held between the two parties, resulting in an agreement to amend Article 11 relating to tariffs.
