Sri Lanka, April 20 -- The Sri Lanka Life Saving Association (SLLSA) paid attention towards number of sudden deaths that were reported from various parts of the country following drowning. They stressed that persons using boats to go on pleasure trips and those who are engaged in fishing activities must wear safety jackets to escape drowning in emergencies.South Asians & Diaspora

The SLLSA said although the importance of wearing jackets was repeatedly brought to the attention of boat riders, boat travellers and fishermen, the majority of them ignore it.
