The Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) delegation, led by its President Rajeev Amarasuriya, during a discussion yesterday proposed to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake that the proposed 22nd Amendment to the Constitution be referred to and considered by a Parliamentary Select Committee as part of a proper and meaningful consultative process, before the Government decides on further proceeding.
