Sri Lanka, Aug. 19 -- Government sources yesterday said that the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) representatives will meet the Opposition parliamentarians to discuss the proposed 22nd Amendment to the Constitution at the parliamentary complex today while government MPs are slated to avoid the meeting.Sri Lanka News

Meanwhile a debate also arose in parliament on the issue between the Government and opposition parties yesterday.

Leader of the House, Minister Bimal Rathnayake said that no individual or external organisation had the authority to summon Parliament Members and that such decisions must be made through established parliamentary protocols.
