Australia, NZ support for Sri Lanka to join RCEP
Sri Lanka, June 4 -- Sri Lanka has successfully taken diplomatic initiatives to become a member of the world's largest free trade agreement, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), Foreign Affairs Minister Vijitha Herath said.
The Minister made this statement at the Sri Lankan High Commission in Canberra, concluding his official visit to Australia and New Zealand.
The Minister also noted that during the visit, significant progress was made and two key members of the RCEP, Australia and New Zealand, have agreed to provide full support to Sri Lanka in its bid to become a member.
