Sri Lanka, Dec. 23 -- The Fort Magistrate's Court has issued a warrant for the arrest of Jaffna District MP Ramanathan Archchuna after he failed to appear in court for a hearing in a case accusing him of obstructing police duties.
MP Archchuna, who was previously arrested on 29 September and released on bail, faces multiple charges, including obstruction of police duty, intimidating a police officer, and illegal parking.
The case relates to an incident on 22 September near the Fort Railway Station, where police allege the MP obstructed officers while a protest was taking place.
