Sri Lanka, Aug. 21 -- The 60th Sri Lanka Army Athletics Championship concluded on 20 August 2025 at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium, Diyagama, showcasing exceptional performances by Army athletes.

Over 600 athletes representing various regiments of the Army competed in track and field events, with the tournament producing one national record, one new Army athletic record, and 11 new meet records.

Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo, Commander of the Army, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

In the men's category, the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Corps emerged as overall champions, while the Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment secured the runner-up position.
