SriLanka, May 30 -- Health Ministry yesterday stressed that registration of every Dansal which are scheduled to be held during the Vesak week with the relevant Medical Office of Health is mandatory.

The Ministry has issued a special set of guidelines to ensure food safety and public health at Dansals to be held across the country for Vesak Poya 2026.

The guidelines are available on the Epidemiology Division's website www.epid.gov.lk, a statement by the Health Ministry said yesterday.

In accordance with those guidelines, the Health Medical Officers, Public Health Inspectors, Food and Drug Inspectors are currently working to inform and provide relevant instructions to the Dansal organizers to act in accordance with the Food Hygiene Regul...
