Sri Lanka, June 1 -- The annual Mahotsavam of the historic Thiruketheeswaram Temple in Mannar concluded with the theertham ceremony on Saturday (30), drawing large numbers of devotees from across the country.

The festival, which commenced with the ceremonial flag-hoisting on May 21, featured a series of religious observances, including the grand chariot procession held on Friday (29).

On the final day, special poojas were conducted at the Vasantha Mandapam before the deities were taken in procession to the sacred Palavi Theertham (Palavi Pond). The holy water ceremony was subsequently held amidst the participation of devotees.
