Sri Lanka, Aug. 19 -- Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath informed Parliament that the Government has been able to remove all taxes imposed by the United States on Sri Lanka's exports.Maldives News

Noting that only a 10 percent Customs duty is currently in effect, the Minister said that this is a victory for the good diplomatic relations maintained by the current government with the US. He said that similarly, the government is maintaining good relations with the European Union and is conducting serious negotiations to obtain GSP tax concession.
