Sri Lanka, Oct. 27 -- Akain Bojith of Dharmasoka College and Tamadi Kavindya of Devananda College Ambalangoda emerged under 19 boys and girls champions at the Maheepala Herath Challenge Trophy Open Ranking Table Tennis Championship which started at Municipal Council Indoor Stadium Kegalle yesterday.

Akain made three straight sets 11-2,11-5,11-7 to beat Malitha Sasdinu of his college mate at the boys under 19 final while Tamadi Kavindya defeated Navindi Seneviratne of Kegalu Balika Vidyalaya at the girls under 19 final 11-4,11-6,11-2 .

Meanwhile at the under 17 boys final Shafiulah Akram of Trinity defeated Malitha Sasdinu with a hard fought four setter game 12-10,8-11,11-6,11-7,11-7 .
