Sri Lanka, Aug. 22 -- Fourteen-year-old Chenuka Caldera of Asian International School created history by becoming Sri Lanka's youngest 1000cc racing champion when he stormed to victory at the Rotherham Circuit Meet 2025 - Round 1, organised by SLADA at the Katukurunda Racing Track this week.

Riding a powerful BMW M1000, Chenuka produced a masterful performance, outclassing seasoned riders from Sri Lanka and the Maldives. After 20 thrilling laps, he crossed the finish line in commanding style to secure the race and capture the coveted Best Rider Trophy in Tarmac racing.
