Srilanka, July 10 -- The veterinary team from the University of Peradeniya's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine continues to provide medical treatment to the ailing elephant Bhathiya in the Polpithigama area of the Mahawa Wildlife Zone for the fifth consecutive day today (10).

Senior wildlife veterinarian Professor Ashoka Dangolla visited the site for the second day in a row to assess the elephant's condition. Based on his observations, he instructed Veterinarian Tharindu Wijekoon to administer additional medications.
