AG files indictments against Pillayan and three others
Sri Lanka, Aug. 17 -- The Attorney General has filed indictments in the Polonnaruwa High Court against four individuals, including former Eastern Province Chief Minister Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan, alias "Pillayan", over the alleged abduction and murder of former Vice Chancellor of the Eastern University, Professor Subramaniam Raveendranathan.
The case relates to the abduction and subsequent murder of Raveendranathan, who disappeared in August 2006.
The indictments were filed against Pillayan and three other suspects in connection with the incident.
The case will now proceed before the Polonnaruwa High Court.
