In a post shared on X, Kanda made the remarks after visiting the Colombo Port Control Tower to observe operations at one of the country's most important gateways for trade.

He also noted that the Asian Development Bank is supporting investments in critical infrastructure, including the Colombo Port Control Tower and the Port Access Elevated Highway, aimed at improving connectivity between the port and international supply chains.
