Sri Lanka, June 16 -- The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the allocation of 408 housing units to resettle flood-prone families in Kolonnawa and non-title settlers living along an underground oil pipeline belonging to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC).

Accordingly, 336 families frequently affected by flooding in the Kolonnawa area and 72 families residing along the CPC's underground petroleum pipeline will be provided with alternative housing and relocated from their current locations.
