Sri Lanka, June 23 -- Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath pointed out that Sri Lanka always acts with neutrality and in accordance with international law. He stated this while participating in a discussion held at the Ministry with US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, S. Paul Kapur.

During the discussion, Minister Herath expressed his appreciation for the continuous support provided by the United States to Sri Lanka. In particular, the Minister expressed his gratitude for the assistance given to Sri Lanka to procure fuel amidst the wartime situation in the Middle East, and extended the Government's appreciation for the maritime vessels and aircraft gifted to the Sri Lanka Navy and Air Force.
