Srilanka, July 4 -- The National Transport Commission (NTC) has attributed the recent incident involving a student falling from the footboard of a moving school bus to the careless and negligent conduct of the driver and conductor.
In a statement issued regarding the incident, which occurred on July 3, the NTC confirmed that an investigation revealed clear lapses in safety practices by the bus crew.
Following the findings, the Northwestern Provincial Transport Authority has taken immediate action to temporarily suspend both the driver and conductor involved, pending further disciplinary measures.
