Srilanka, March 12 -- The Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education, in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport, is set to expand the "Sisu Seriya" school bus service with the addition of over 200 new buses this year.
Announcing the development at a media briefing today (12), Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Madura Seneviratne, highlighted the government's commitment to ensuring safe and efficient transport for school students. An additional allocation of approximately 1 billion rupees has been made to support this initiative.
The service aims to provide students with stress-free and secure travel, allowing them to focus fully on their studies.
