Sri Lanka, Aug. 12 -- Dhanushka Kaushalya, alias 'Ratmalane Saima', a 41-year-old key financial and operational associate of underworld figure 'Kanjipani Imran', was ordered to be detained for 48 hours for questioning after being produced before the Kandy Magistrate's Court yesterday (11) following his extradition from Malaysia.
According to the Police, the suspect will be produced before the Kandy Magistrate Court today (12) after questioning by the Peradeniya Police for 48 hours.
Police investigations have revealed that he has resided in Ratmalana and Peradeniya, with temporary stays in other areas, and has pending criminal cases.
