Sri Lanka, Feb. 24 -- In a significant move to combat the narcotics crisis, the week commencing March 1, 2026, has been officially declared Drug Prevention Week.
This initiative is part of the "Ratama Ekata" (A Nation United) National Mission, a flagship program launched by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to eradicate drug abuse across Sri Lanka.
The Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government announced the special week following the guidelines set in Public Administration Circular 29/2025.
