Sri Lanka, Aug. 7 -- Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananda Wijepala informed Parliament today(07) that suspicions have arisen over whether the escalating violence reported at several prisons, from the Negombo incident to subsequent incidents at Mahara, Magazine, Kuruwita and Pallansena, was linked to an organised plot.Time & Calendars

The Minister said intelligence reports and ongoing investigations have identified drug-related activities and underworld connections as the immediate causes behind the incidents.
