Sri Lanka, Aug. 20 -- Parliamentarian Dilith Jayaweera, leader of the Sarva Jana Bala party, said the organization has been established to support Mahinda Rajapaksa's political expectations.
He made these remarks while taking part in the launch of the Sarva Jana Sabha in the Nakkawatta Division on August 18.
Responding to journalists, Jayaweera suggested that Mahinda Rajapaksa should be honored with a statue and criticized family politics for hindering the former president's political journey.
He also emphasized that real politics happens on the ground and noted that social media alone cannot secure the presidency, referring to Namal Rajapaksa's online presence.
