Sri Lanka, Aug. 25 -- Health and Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa stated that the strong public response to the recent postal strike should serve as a lesson to all trade unions (TUs), expressing hope that the strike announced by the Government Medical Officers' Association (GMOA) will not take place.

"The Government has always kept the door open for discussions," he said, addressing the media yesterday (24).
