Sri Lanka, Oct. 17 -- The mindset that seeing cybersecurity as IT's unwanted child, something expensive, mostly occasionally useful and mostly looked upon if there's a problem needs to shift, opined Sunari Dandeniya, Chief Information Security Officer, Commercial Bank of Ceylon, addressing the Asian Development Bank's Serendipity Knowledge Programme on Digital Transformation held in Colombo on Wednesday.
Dandeniya said cybersecurity needs to shift from the server room to the boardroom as most organisations have been doing. And also it should be more than just a line item in the budget. It has to be embedded into the corporate culture.
