Nairobi, April 8 -- Governors secured a major win on Wednesday after the High Court issued conservatory orders barring the police from enforcing a Senate directive to arrest or summon them.
The court certified a case filed by lawyer Charles Mugane and Ashton Ngugi as urgent and directed them to serve the petition on the Inspector-General of Police Douglas Kanja, the Senate and National Assembly as well as the 47 county governors and the Council of Governors.
