Nairobi, May 1 -- Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company (NCWSC) has announced a temporary disruption in water supply across 12 residential and commercial areas following a significant pipeline burst in the Gigiri area.

The outage is expected to affect daily water availability, and residents are being urged to conserve water during this period until repairs are completed.

In a statement released on Friday, May 1, NCWSC said that a major burst had occurred along the NCT-Kigoro-Gigiri-Kabete transmission pipeline, disrupting water supply to all areas served by the Kabete reservoirs.

The affected areas include Westlands, Lavington, Kilimani, Kileleshwa, Upper Hill, Ngong Road, Madaraka, Nairobi West, Uthiru, Karen, Kibera and Lang'ata. ...
