Nairobi, May 3 -- The performances by Kenyan teams at the just concluded men's and women's African Volleyball Clubs Championships held separately in Kigali, Rwanda, and Cairo, Egypt, have left a lot to be desired.
Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) was the best-performing Kenyan side at the men's championship that ended on Saturday in Kigali, reaching the quarter-final to finish sixth overall.
The country's other teams, General Service Unit (GSU) and KPA, reached the round of 16. Al Ahly Sporting Club of Egypt defeated Rwanda Police Club 3-0 to lift the title.
Another Rwandan club, Rwanda Energy Group, claimed bronze, beating Petrojet Sporting Club of Egypt 3-1.
