Kenya in space: Climate camera to reach 'heavenly' destination on Monday evening
Nairobi, April 13 -- After its launch to space at 1.41pm East African time on Saturday, an AI-enabled climate camera made by Kenya, Uganda and Egypt is set to arrive at the International Space Station (ISS) at 7.50 pm on Monday.
The camera, codenamed ClimCam, was part of the items (payload) carried by a SpaceX rocket that flew from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in the US state of Florida. The rocket went to the space station for a commercial resupply mission.
According to the Kenya Space Agency (KSA), the ClimCam was made to capture information on climate.
