Nairobi, April 13 -- Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa, his wife, and eight bloggers have been prohibited from making or publishing defamatory statements about Kakamega Women Representative Elsie Muhanda Busihile.

The court directed Busihile to serve the court documents on the governor forthwith. In issuing these orders, the court observed that public figures must act in accordance with Articles 10 and 28 of the Constitution.

These articles require public officers to conduct themselves in a respectable manner and observe national values.
