Nairobi, April 10 -- Deputy President Kithure Kindiki on Friday apologised to the family of the late Ol Kalou Member of Parliament David Njuguna Kiaraho after succession politics characterised the requiem mass held at Captain Grounds in Nyandarua County.

During the event that took place on Wednesday, President William Ruto and his former deputy president, now impeached, Rigathi Gachagua, openly clashed, with Mr Gachagua telling the Head of State that he may have succeeded in removing him from office, but it was hard for him to detach the people of Mount Kenya from him.
