Nairobi, May 2 -- The 47 counties have showcased impressive development in the 13 years of devolution, but have also gained notoriety for mismanagement, corruption and looting of public funds. More than Sh4 trillion has been disbursed to the devolved units, fostering infrastructural growth and hugely transforming the country.

Thanks to devolution, development is visible nationwide, with new roads, hospitals, health centres, sports facilities, and early childhood education (ECDE) centres.
