Nairobi, April 7 -- The Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) is targeting another seat in Narok County after its victory in the Narok Town MCA by-election last November.

This time, it aims to sponsor a candidate to clinch the Emurua Dikirr parliamentary seat that was left vacant after Johana Ngeno died in a chopper crash in February.

On Tuesday, the party led by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua unveiled its candidate for the May by-election in an event where speakers reiterated that the constituency has typically been an opposition zone.

Mr Vincent Kibet Rotich, a youthful politician, will be DCP's flagbearer in the race. He was unveiled at an event at the DCP headquarters in Nairobi's Westlands.
