Uganda, May 2 -- Poni Islam, a national of Bangladesh who was contracted as an engineer in the ongoing tarmacking of Yumbe-Terego Road in West Nile, has been discovered dead in his hotel room in Lomunga Town Council.

North West Nile police spokesperson, Mr Collins Asea, told this publication on Saturday that the deceased, 54, an employee of WKK, was found on Friday morning in a room at Ruvanna Inn Bar and Lodges, which he had booked on Thursday night.

"It is alleged that Jane, a waitress at Ruvanna Inn Bar and Lodges, heard a phone ringing repeatedly from the room marked "Lisbo," which was not answered. She notified Obiru Lillian, the cashier, who in turn informed Jamirah Racheal, the Lodge and Bar Manager"
