Uganda, May 14 -- Police in Amolatar District have arrested a 30-year-old woman over allegations of sexually abusing a 13-year-old Senior One student after allegedly keeping him hidden in her house for two weeks.

According to Amolatar District Police Commander Mr John Mafabi, the woman allegedly lured the student, whose father had assigned him to help sell meat at his butchery, into her house at Alemere Trading Centre in Awelo Sub-county.

"The woman allegedly lured the student before keeping him inside her house until May 12, 2026, when they were found and arrested," Mr Mafabi said on Thursday.

Police said the boy, a student of Akalo Secondary School in Kole District, had gone missing, prompting his parents to search for him.
