Uganda, April 9 -- Uganda still lags in domestic tourism due to the reluctance among citizens to explore their own country, Chief Executive Officer of Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), Ms Juliana Kagwa, has said.

''Kenyans and Tanzanians are exploring their countries more than we do. It should be every citizen's responsibility to explore Uganda. You could start with the tourist attractions in your area'', she said.

Questioning; ''How many of you live in Kampala but have never visited Kasubi tombs or Gadafi Temple? How many live in Jinja and you have never been to the source of the River Nile?''

She was speaking during the inauguration of the Utalii Africa Tourism and Investment Expo in Kampala on April 8. The expo slated for June 25 to 27, 2...
