Uganda, May 6 -- Police in Kira Division are investigating a suspected murder following the recovery of a decomposed body believed to be that of a 52-year-old woman who had been missing for months.

The body, identified as Oliver Naziwa , a resident of Kito 'A' village in Kirinya, Kira Municipality, Wakiso District, was discovered on May 4 during a search at a suspect's residence.

According to Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, the case was formally reported on April 28 after relatives raised concerns about the woman's disappearance, which dates back to October 2025.

"Clothing believed to belong to the deceased was also recovered at the scene, aiding identification," Owoyesigyire said.
