Uganda, April 19 -- The Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF) has continued to engage the Acholi and Madi communities in dialogue to end clashes over Apaa land.

In a recent clash, four people lost their lives with others sustaining serious injuries.

Speaking during the second dialogue meeting held at Itirikua Sub-county in Adjumani District on Saturday, the UPDF 4th Infantry Division Commander, Major General Felix Busizoori, called on the Acholi and Madi communities to resolve their ongoing land disputes through dialogue rather than violence.

He expressed concern over continued land wrangles that he said have led to loss of lives, displacement of families, and destruction of property.
