Uganda moves to standardise menstrual products to international standards
Uganda, April 8 -- Uganda is stepping onto the global stage to shape the first-ever international standards for menstrual products, aimed at creating clear quality requirements that can open access to regional and international markets, while ensuring safer and more affordable products for women and girls. Through the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS), the government is drafting these standards, marking a shift from past practice where countries often adopted standards developed elsewhere without input.
