Uganda, May 1 -- The Government of Uganda has commenced deportation of 169 illegal migrants arrested during an intelligence-led operation by the Ministry of Internal Affairs Uganda in Kampala on Monday night.
The Assistant Commissioner for Inspection and Compliance, Mr Robert Kahwa Kato, said that the deportation is being done in a phased manner due to limited flights.
Addressing the media this morning, May 1st, at the Ministry headquarters in Kampala, he revealed that 23 individuals were deported yesterday, 18 are leaving today, as the process continues up to Monday.
