Uganda, May 4 -- Police in Iganga District have arrested three suspects in connection with aggravated robbery following an intelligence-led operation targeting organised criminal gangs involved in counterfeit currency schemes, authorities confirmed on Monday.

Busoga North Police spokesperson Mr Michael Kasadha identified the suspects as Asuman Isooba, also known as Mazima, 19, Aminsi Isooba, 29, and Syrus Guule, 25, all residents of Namungalwe Village in Namungalwe Town Council.

Kasadha said the suspects were arrested in Kisinze, Kawete and Namungalwe Town Council areas, where they allegedly operated.
