Uganda, May 4 -- Six people have died, and several others have been injured in a collision between Nile Star Bus registration number UBF 736U and a lorry transporting fish.

The midnight incident happened at Purongo Town Council in Nwoya district along Arua-Pakwach Highway.

The bus was transporting about 67 passengers from Arua to Kampala, while the lorry was reportedly destined for Arua City.

Nwoya LC5 Chairperson, Mr Emmanuel Orach, described the incident as gruesome, saying victims have been rushed to Anaka General Hospital in Anaka Town Council with plans underway to refer them to St Mary's Hospital Lacor in Gulu City.
