Nwoya CAO, two others arrested over Shs20m theft
Uganda, April 28 -- The Nwoya District Chief Administrative Officer, Ms Janephar Nantume Enguyu, is set to appear before the Anti-Corruption Court on Tuesday to answer charges of theft and abuse of office.
Ms Nantume was arrested, along with two others, on Monday morning at the Nwoya District headquarters by the Inspectorate of Government.
Mr Farouq Kayondo, the IGG spokesperson, confirmed the arrest, noting that the trio were whisked to Kampala Central Police Station, where they are being held.
"Indeed, we picked Nantume together with Fred Kalisa and Ronald Wanda, and they are meant to appear before the Anti-Corruption Court today to answer the charges against them," Mr Kayondo said.
