Uganda, April 7 -- The ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party is considering inviting a member of the 'friendly' Opposition to deliver a presentation at its ongoing parliamentary caucus retreat at the National Leadership Institute Kyankwanzi.
NRM spokesperson Emmanuel Dombo told Monitor that the move is intended to expose newly elected legislators to diverse political perspectives.
"Opposition is part of Uganda and they form part of the government so we have decided to call one of their members to speak to our new MPs about the dynamics and their perspectives," he said.
"Apparently we have not zeroed down on who exactly will speak but we are inviting one of the members from the friendly opposition political parties," he added....
